Our Social Life
One of the many reasons people choose a church is friendship. PHBC is aware of this need, and provides plenty of opportunity for Christian fellowship and hospitality through our home group ministry.
Recreation is an important element of every close congregation. Two softball teams compete in a local softball league every spring and summer, for both men and women. A highlight of the youth program includes annual sports "marathons" in all-night bowling (called the "Superbowl"), volleyball, and basketball competition. The annual "Teens Involved" program gives out youth the opportunity to develop their talents for the Lord on the local, state, and national levels.
The children enjoy the "Olympian Games", "Fascar Rally", Summer Camp, the On-Goal Soccer Camp, and the annual "Harvestfest" on October 31st.
Occasional socials are planned for the youth groups and Sunday School classes for all ages. Mother/Daughter Banquets and Father/Son Golf Tournaments strengthen family ties, and are memorable events.
We are an active, growing congregation from many walks of life, who have found a common purpose in our relationship with Jesus Christ. We care about people. How can we serve you?
"And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full."
(I John 1:4)
